Connecting in the Time of COVID-19

These are challenging times. While it is not a moment to be meeting matches in person, we recognize that Date Rush- a platform centered around connection – can play an important role as we navigate the uncertainty that COVID-19 has introduced into our everyday lives. While each day presents new challenges, we’re in this together, and we take our role seriously. With that in mind, let’s work together to keep each other safe.

Adhering to Guidance from Experts

Your well-being is a top priority. Join us in staying informed on the most up-to-date best practices for staying safe and healthy — we are closely monitoring updates from the World Health Organization (WHO), and encourage that you do the same.

While we hope to be a place of connection during a time that can feel isolating for many, we strongly encourage that new connections stay digital for now. In most places around the world, it’s time to stay home, and adhering to the latest local recommendations is the responsible thing to do — for the safety and health of everyone.

Distant, But Digitally Together

Date Rush has always aimed to break the limitations of who you would meet in the physical world, and in these times, we’ve felt inspired to remove another one of these barriers: distance. While we all know we need to stay home, this doesn’t mean we have to be alone with our thoughts. Having someone to talk to can make a world of difference.

Date Rush U– While universities across Ghana have begun sending students home, we’ve updated the Date Rush U experience, so that you can stay connected to fellow classmates and match with others who share your school badge, no matter the distance between you.

Passport – We temporarily made our Passport feature free to everyone. We hope that you took the chance to virtually transport yourself to a new location and connect with others around the world.

Now more than ever, we all need something to look forward to, whether it’s messaging with someone on Date Rush tonight or the possibility of meeting a match at a later time that’s still to be determined. We’re grateful to be a place people turn to, and we hope that our community stays safe and healthy during this time.
